Market Evening Wrap 28th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,589.25pts with a gap of -14.11pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,665.84pts where a net change of 62.48pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,902.38pts with net change of -700.98pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,002.35pts with net change of -601.01pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 655.08 million shares with net change of -106.26 million shares or -13.96% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 223.95 million shares with net change of -38.55 million shares or -14.69%. WTL, BYCO and JSCLR1 remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 98.86, 52.86 and 50.36 and net price change of -3.54, -6.17 and -27.24 percent respectively.

Today, 384 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 77 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 25 companies closed with no change but 282 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. HINO, PAKT and SCL lead the price gainers with net price change of 42.95, 24.40 and 24.33 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPL, GATI and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -46.94, -43.50 and -41.20 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 158.23, 58.35 and 38.19 million shares respectively. AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TOBACCO sectors have supported index by adding 16.17, 6.73 and 6.19 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -216.02, -131.52 and -59.86 points respectively.
