Market Evening Wrap 18th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,174.09pts with a gap of 16.46pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,411.87pts where a net change of 254.24pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,022.72pts with net change of -134.91pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,238.67pts with net change of 81.04pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 750.56 million shares with net change of -366.86 million shares or -32.83% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 304.37 million shares with net change of 13.62 million shares or 4.69%. HUMNL, HUMNL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 88.08, 88.08 and 76.46 and net price change of 7.04, 7.04 and 2.74 percent respectively.

Today, 383 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 210 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 151 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, SAPT and ATLH lead the price gainers with net price change of 39.15, 39.15 and 35.98 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, NESTLE and MTL remained top three price losers with net price change of -30.00, -30.00 and -22.37 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 189.73, 100.19 and 53.70 million shares respectively. CEMENT, REFINERY and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 52.85, 39.15 and 27.63 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -70.78, -12.06 and -8.62 points respectively.
